Salty And Spicy Black Plum

Black Plum is a delicious tasty sweet and tangy fruit.
Syzygium cumini is also known as jambul/jambhul/jambu/jambula/jamboola, Java plum,jamun, jaam/kalojaam, jamblang, jambolan, black plum, Damson plum, Duhat plum,Jambolan plum or Portuguese plum. Malabar plum may also refer to other species ofSyzygium. This fruit is called Jamun in [Konkani], Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, Naaval Pazham inTamil, Naaval Pazham in Malayalam, Nerale Hannu in Kannada,Neredu Pandu in Telugu,Kalojam or Jam in Bengali, Jamukoli in Oriya and Jambu in Gujarat. In the Philippines, common names include duhat in the Tagalog-speaking regions, lomboy in the Cebuano-speaking areas, lumboy in Northern Luzon and inobog in Maguindanao. It is called Dhanbuin Maldives and Dhuwet/Juwet in Javanese. Among its names in Portuguese are jamelão,jambo, jambolão, jalão, joão-bolão, manjelão, azeitona-preta, baga-de-freira, brinco-de-viúva and guapê, always with lower case, the early four derived from the Konkani namejambulan. They are called rotra in the Malagasy language (Madagascar). It is calledreyang dut or krian dot in Malay especially in the northern part of Malay Peninsula.

Ingredients
  • 30 black plum/ jamun
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
Cooking Directions
  1. Mix black salt, roasted cumin powder, black pepper. Mix well. Sprinkle on the fruits. Enjoy bite by bite it taste awesome.

Beet Prawn Soup

Ingredients
  • 1 big beetroot peeled and boiled
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 5 to 6 garlic c love
  • 6 to 8 prawn
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp grated coconut (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • to taste salt and pepper
Cooking Directions
  1. Take beetroot, ginger, garlic, and coriander in a blender. Make a fine paste. Now add the coconut milk with salt and pepper. Now blend well. Heat butter in a pan fry the prawn a little sprinkling little salt and pepper and grated coconut if using I use as like the crunchy butter fried coconut while having the smooth soup. Fry a little then add the beetroot coconut mixture. Mix well and put off the flame. Serve hot or at room temperature with a dash of lemon juice and crispy bread toast. Garlic Noodles With Scrambled Egg

Ingredients
  • 1 pack boiled noodles as per package instruction
  • 8 to 10 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 chicken seasoning powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp sweet chilly garlic sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
Cooking Directions
  1. Beat eggs with salt, pepper and grated ginger until blended well. Now heat 1/2 tbsp oil. Pour the egg mixture. As eggs begin to set, gently pull the eggs across the pan with an inverted turner, continue cooking pulling, lifting and folding eggs - until thickened and no visible liquid egg remains. Do not stir constantly. Remove from heat.
  2. Now in pan heat the oil add whole garlic and fry till golden, then add the sliced onion. Fry a little add boiled noodles. Sprinkle chicken seasoning powder with little salt and pepper if needed. Then add the scrambled eggs. Mix well with noodles. Put off the flame and serve immediately with jerky dash of sweet chilly garlic sauce.

Fiery prawn is a very delicious prawn dish. In this recipe and last few days if you are following my posts then you  must have notice that I am adding green chilly as green chilly is loaded with health benefits. Fiery Prawn

Ingredients
  • 12 to 15 small prawn
  • 3 onion finely sliced
  • 1 Indian green chilly chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp tomato garlic sauce
  • a pinch sugar
  • 2 tsp olive oil / butter
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • to taste salt
Fiery Prawn

Cooking Directions
  1. Heat oil or butter whatever you are using in a pan. Then add finely sliced onion. Fry till little soft and golden then add the prawn and chopped green chilly. You can skip green chilly if you want it to be less fiery and substitute it with pepper powder. But green chilly do give a peppy jerk in taste bud and it's healthy too. Then fry prawn for another 2 minutes. Add pinch of sugar, tomato garlic sauce and salt. Mix well. Sprinkle little bit of lemon juice and put off the flame. You can stuff this as sandwich filling or just have it as a side dish with a hard toast bread. I am sure you will love fiery prawn any time.
