Iced tea is basically is from of cold tea served in a glass with ice. Iced tea is a very refreshing beverage especially during summer. It is a very healthy alternative to those sugar packed canned sodas. This is one of the most beloved package drinks and you get both the sweetened version and the unsweetened. The best part of iced tea is you can mix it with flavored syrup of your choice and just make an awesome drink that suits your taste and mood. Few flavors that are well paired with iced tea are lemon, peace, raspberry, lime, passion fruit and cherry. Not only different fruity flavors are added to make this tea delicious but many infused different herbs to make it healthier. Some people call this “sun tea” may be because of its bright color. I think you will get iced tea in almost every part of the world. In Austria you will get heavily sweetened iced tea commonly known as Eistee and in Italy you will get peach and lemon flavored iced tea, but if you are in Switzerland you will get herbal tea with peppermint flavor. Lemon flavor ice tea is most common so today we are sharing how to make lemon flavored iced tea and I am sure you will enjoy this in a warm day.

Iced Tea

Ingredients
  • 2 tall glass of water
  • 1/2 tsp tea powder
  • 6 to 8 ice cube
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 very thin slice of lemon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar or to taste
  • 5 to 6 fresh mint leaves
Cooking Directions
  1. Boil two glass of water then add ½ tsp of tea powder (for this you can use traditional black tea or green tea) add sugar and let it boil for 2 minutes. Then strain the tea with a tea strainer. Add lemon juice to it. Mix well. Sweetness is a matter of taste but sometimes the tartness of lemon demands bit more sugar so adjust according to your taste. Now cool it and then put it in a refrigerator until completely chilled before serving. Now take a serving mug filled it with ice cubes, lemon wedges and then fills the glass with chilled iced tea. Top the iced tea with few fresh mint leaves.
